In the heel shift position, the Switch-Shift extends beyond the rear end of most floorboards allowing more rearward use of the board versus standard short heel shifters. In the toe position, the Switch-Shift extends forward to keep your foot out from under the peg, resulting in easier engagement and more clearance.
